Audio Version of 'The Drive'
Awhile ago, Tim Canton approached me about using one of my short stories in a proposed storytelling podcast.
I have always enjoyed hearing the words I've written performed. My screenplays have been transformed into movies, the director and crew transforming the words to visuals, the actors transforming the words into conversations.
It has always been humbling and amazing to observe.
I had never, though, heard anyone perform a short story or novel of mine. So when then opportunity came to me, I agreed without a second thought.
Sadly, the podcast was never to be, but a recorded version of my short story, 'The Drive', was created. I love listening to it in this format, I love hearing how the words work together as speech and not just written language.
I thought I should share it here so all of you can hear it as well. I hope you enjoy it in this form as well.
If you want the written version it is available in my short story collection, "The Weight in Strangers' Faces' which is available as an e-book on Amazon.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy.
Performed by Bryan Clark
