From the Author: An Announcement, A Date, and a Thanks
Okay everyone, I hope you're doing well out there.
I am nearing the end. In lots of ways.
As anyone in my direct life could tell you, I am running on fumes over here. My brain has been so used up by this experiment it has caused some major mental fallout. Forgotten milk on the counter, forgotten meetings, forgotten names, all of it. My brain is crawling to the finish line and it wants to take a serious slumber.
That's why I'm somewhat relieved and happy to announce that Friday, May 20th will be our end. Even if that final chapter has to be 10,000 words it will be done on that day. You will see where this all ends up and decide if you like it. On that note, feel free to send me messages, thoughts, critiques, and questions when we are done here. This is not the book's final form. I will take a bit of a break, treat this as any other first draft and go back and expand, refine, rework, until it's a more polished version of the skeleton you see here.
I should also take a moment just to say thanks one more time, you all have been great and supportive and an all around good audience. I really appreciate it. While I jumped off a cliff here and probably banged my head a few times on the way down, you all have been nothing but patient and kind. That will always be remembered and appreciated.
Finally, I will post .pdf, e-book, and kindle versions of this first draft here on Friday so you can download and read it all at your leisure.
And with that, I'll drop my figurative mic and let you all see what I got on the 20th.
